I forged this hairpin from a piece of 3/8” square bar. It came out really close to how I’d pictured it in my head, so I think the steps I came up with are working well for it. It’s pretty light, despite being a little longer. Once I finished forging it, it was wirewheeled and blackened with heat and beeswax.
