I wanted to forge a hawkbilled harvest knife and have the handle mimic that curve in the inverse. So, I got an old file and set to hammering this out. I preserved as much of the old file teeth as possible. The handle is some locally harvested and stabilized spalted maple burl with brass and mosaic pins. I really love how this whole piece came together. It’s even more comfortable in hand than I had hoped.
