Hand Forged, Genuine Wrought Iron Mjolnir

$40.00

Thor is the god of thunder, storms and strength. The god of protection of humanity from giants and agents of chaos. The god of free people! His hammer, Mjölnir, was both a brutal weapon and an instrument for blessing. This representation of the Mjolnir I forged here isn’t just something I hammered out of steel. I forged this out of genuine wrought iron over 100 years old, something that feels and looks like it has a soul and a story. I didn’t want this to be something you could order from some knock off, mass produced, viking bullshit store, but something that looks like it was dug out of the fucking GROUND. Something that held the spirit of this god in these fucked up times. After forging it, I soaked it in acid for many hours to chew up any impurities and silica, leaving behind this wood like grain.

I blackened it all with beeswax, letting that ancient grain drink in the dark. Then, I went over it by hand, sanding just the high ridges of that grain back to a soft, polished iron that catches the light. The deep valleys stayed black. It's like a topographical map of the material itself. A few good coats of Renaissance wax sealed its story in place.

It hangs on a simple waxed cotton cord. It's not flashy. It's heavy with history—both the myth we all know, and the quiet, unknown history of the wagon it came from.

The Details:

· Material: Genuine wrought iron, harvested from an antique wagon wheel.

· Process: Acid-etched to reveal the classic fibrous "grain" of the iron, then contrast-finished.

· Finish: Beeswax blackened with hand-sanded, polished high points on the grain. Sealed with Renaissance wax.

· Includes: A waxed cotton cord for wearing.

· Note: The grain pattern is completely unique to this piece of iron and cannot be replicated.
