I forged this knife from an old planer blade. I further hammer textured the whole piece down into the tang using a ball pein hammer. I did the same to some copper sheet that I used for the handle, riveted to the knife with some copper round bar. 

This knife would do well in the kitchen. I also see it on a charcuterie board when entertaining guests!
